Who can use the mobile app

The Roofing Boss app is only available to employees and contractors of our company who have been given an account by an administrator. Members of the public cannot create an account in the app. Homeowners and customers interact with us through this website, by phone, and by email.

Information we collect

• Account information. When a team member signs in with Google or an email sign-in code, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes their name, email address, and profile photo so we can identify them.
• Business records. The app displays job, contact, and task records that our company already stores in JobNimbus, our customer-relationship system. This includes customer names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, job status, and notes team members add. Notes written in the app are stored in JobNimbus.
• Device and usage data. The app stores a copy of job and contact records on the device for up to one hour so search works instantly. It does not use advertising identifiers, does not collect precise location, and does not access the camera, microphone, photos, or contacts on the device.

How we use information

We use information solely to run our roofing business: scheduling and performing work, communicating with customers, coordinating our team, and keeping records. When a team member taps Call, Text, Email, or Directions, the app hands the number or address to the device's phone, messaging, mail, or maps app; we do not record those interactions.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that operate the Services:

• Clerk, for sign-in and session management.
• JobNimbus, where our job, contact, and task records live.
• Our hosting providers, which run this website and the app's backend.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Security

All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens on the device are kept in the operating system's secure storage. Team members should protect their device with a passcode and report a lost device to an administrator immediately so access can be revoked.

Retention

Cached records on a device expire automatically after one hour and are removed when a team member signs out or uninstalls the app. Business records in JobNimbus are retained for as long as needed to serve our customers and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Account deletion

Team accounts are created and removed by a company administrator. To request deletion of your Roofing Boss account, open the Account tab in the app and tap Request account deletion, or email hello@roofingboss.example. We will disable your sign-in, unlink your JobNimbus user, and delete your account record from our authentication provider within 30 days. Business records you created (for example, notes on a job) are company records and are retained.

Customers and homeowners

If you are a customer and want to know what information we hold about you, or want it corrected or deleted, contact us at hello@roofingboss.example. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
